Sahara says: It can dehydrate you. My organic chemistry instructor said that she drank tea all of the time and got seriously dehydrated. (caffeine) So be careful.
Gumnaam1 says: i don’t think there is anything wrong with drinking a lot of tea. i guess you should avoid caffeinated teas since caffeine isn’t the greatest thing for the body over time.
straighthealth18 says: Yes it can be a problem especially in women. Tea contains a compound (tannins) that can inhibit the absorption of some minerals – specifically iron. For men it isn’t such a big issue but you shouldn’t be drinking too much tea. 1 or 2 cups won’t hurt you but I’d be careful at anything above that.

Rockford says: Drinking a lot of tea can block iron absorbtion. So if you are low in iron, don’t drink tea with your meals. Otherwise, you can drink as much tea as you want in between your meals.
